OUR STORY
Built by someone who lives on flights
4 years. Dozens of countries. One recurring thought at 35,000 feet.
I'm José. I left Portugal at 18 and haven't really stopped moving since. Four years of solo travel across Europe — new cities, new jobs, new everything. Flights became routine. I know the drill: find your seat, headphones in, stare at the seatback screen for three hours.
But on one particular flight I looked around and actually paid attention. A group of friends, each in their own bubble. Someone watching a movie. Someone staring out the window. A few people playing offline games alone. Rows of people completely isolated from each other — and we were all doing the exact same thing, in the exact same metal tube, at the exact same altitude.
That's the moment. These people have something in common right now, in this specific moment, that they will never have again. The flight ends and it's gone.
AirFellow is the app that should have existed. No Wi-Fi needed. No accounts. Just the people physically around you, for as long as the flight lasts.
What We Believe
Offline first
The internet is optional. Human connection isn't.
Privacy by design
No accounts. No servers. No data that can leak.
Flight only
The cabin, and nothing else. That's the whole product.
