No. AirFellow runs entirely over Bluetooth (BLE). It works at 30,000ft with airplane mode on — as long as Bluetooth is enabled.

Only other AirFellow users who are physically within ~10m (Bluetooth range) — meaning people on your plane. Nobody outside your immediate flight can see you.

No account, no email, no phone number. You get a temporary anonymous identity for each flight that disappears when you land.

No. All messages are stored locally on device only and are deleted when the session ends. We never see them.

On iOS: enable Airplane Mode, then manually toggle Bluetooth on in Control Center. On Android: enable Airplane Mode, then toggle Bluetooth on in Quick Settings.

Long-press any message in chat, or tap a dot on the radar and select "Mute" or "Report." Muting hides their messages for the rest of the flight.

Most major airlines (US, EU, LATAM) allow Bluetooth devices in flight mode. Check your specific airline policy. AirFellow recommends the in-app tip: "Enable Bluetooth in Airplane Mode — check your airline's guidelines."
